Rachel Ann Blais

Rachel Ann Blais, age 85, of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 19, 2013. She was born March 15, 1928, in Wilmington, Ohio. Rachel is the daughter of Louis and Lola (Goodwin) Frazier. She was the devoted wife of Lt. Colonel Philip J. Blais and loving mother of six children. She worked at Jesuit Preparatory School in Dallas in the Alumnae office and was a career homemaker. She and Phil retired first in Texas and later moved to Florida and then back to Texas prior to their deaths. Rachel traveled the world and lived in Germany, the Philippines and numerous U. S. states including Virginia, Illinois, Florida, Washington, and Ohio as well as Texas. Rachel enjoyed spending considerable time reading novels, studying history and monitoring world news. She took great pride in the fact she was the wife of a career Air Force/American Airlines pilot, mother of six children, grandmother of four and great-grandmother to four additional children.

Rachel is also known as “Dodie” and is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Blais) and Bennie Murphy, Catherine Blais, Elise (Blais) and Randy Ramey; sons, Philip L. and Pamela Blais, Jerry and Rosanna Blais; grandchildren, Jason B. and Lindsay Lambertson, Philip T. and Cathy Blais, Erik Blais, and Rachel Blais; great-grandchildren, Jack, Will and Taylor Lambertson and Charlotte May Blais.

Rachel is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Frazier Blais (1999) and her husband, Philip J. Blais (2008) of 60 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco on July 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
