IN LOVING MEMORY

Phillip Michael Kapp

Sep 16 1931 - Oct 31 2013

Phillip Michael Kapp, age 82, of Lucas, Texas, died suddenly on October 31, 2013, after periodic bouts of ill health. At age 82, Phil still loved his land and considered himself a gentleman rancher. At various times the ranch included horses, cattle, sheep, emus and chickens (until the coyotes finished them). His accomplishments include, but are not limited to, a degree from the University of Dayton and Military service in Germany during the Korean War. Phil was active in the Boy Scouts, a McKinney Band Booster, participated at the local VFW and took great interest in Veteran Affairs.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Kapp of Lucas, Texas; children, Phillip Kapp and wife, Susan of Coppell, Texas, Jennifer Kapp of Princeton, Texas, Kristopher Kapp of Montreal, Canada, and Gabrielle Kapp of College Station, Texas; grandchildren, Sydney Kapp of St. Louis, Missouri, Kayden McClung of College Station, Texas, Angus McClung also of College Station, Hanna Kapp and Katherine Kapp, both of Princeton, Texas; and brother, John Kapp of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Katherine Kapp.

In lieu of flowers, please remember Phil by donating to the Wounded Warrior Project https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.aspx?tsid=66.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
