Phillip David Geminden, age 63, of Plano, Texas, passed away December 29, 2009, in Richardson, Texas. Phillip was born June 3, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Emma (Stahmer) Geminden. He married Sharon White on March 23, 1968 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Phillip grew up in Oklahoma where he graduated in 1964 from Carrier High School. He received a degree from Oklahoma State University. Phillip worked for Texas Instruments for twenty-eight years in their Technical Defense Department. After retiring from Texas Instruments, he worked as a Systems Technician for the Plano Independent School District. Phillip coached his kids in sports and was a “Mr. Fix-it”. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Geminden of Plano, Texas; son, Scott Geminden and wife, Tiffany of Spring, Texas; daughter, Sara Hays and husband, James of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Kailee Hays and Parker, Pierce, and Peyton Geminden; brothers, Stamer Geminden and wife, Donna of Longmont, Colorado, Robert Geminden of Plano, Texas, David Geminden and wife, Sharon of Johnstown, Colorado, and Jimmy Geminden and wife, Helen of Carrier, Oklahoma; and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2010, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
