Phillip Thomas Barch Sr., age 69, of Princeton, Texas, passed away September 13, 2010. Phillip was born October 24, 1940, in Mississippi County, Arkansas, to John and Susie (Feezor) Barch. He married Anita Gentry in 1966, in Arkansas. Phillip proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Texas Instruments where he was employed as an engineer. Phillip had many electronic patents. He was a Precinct Chairman for the Republican Party, and a member of The Club at Hurricane Creek. Phillip loved to fish and was a member of the Texins Bass Club. He is survived by his wife, Anita Barch of Princeton, Texas; sons, Phillip Barch Jr. and wife Kim of Princeton, Texas, and Derick Barch and wife Jana of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew Barch, Skylar Barch, Chandler Barch, Brianna Barch, and Summer Barch; sisters, Dorothy Hanna of Arkansas, Martha Bartoszkiewicz of Tennessee, Sandra Effin of Arkansas, and Patricia Caldwell of Arkansas; brothers, Paul Barch of Tennessee, Marvin Barch of Tennessee, Joe Barch of Arkansas, Norman Barch of Texas, and David Barch of Texas; brother-in-law Joe Gentry of Florida; sister-in-law Clementine Barch of Texas; a host of other loving family and friends. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Miller and Bobby Nell Barch. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas, with Chris Barch officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book on Thursday. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
