Peter John Meldrum, age 62 of Frisco, Texas passed away on March 2, 2009 in Frisco. He was born on March 26, 1946 in Peterbroough, Ontario, Canada to Gwendolyn M. (Senior) and the late, John Everett Meldrum. He married his beloved wife of 35 years Patricia McWilliams on September 29, 1973 in Toronto, Canada. Peter was a Senior Executive in the Telecommunications Industry. Pete is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Pat Meldrum of Frisco, Texas; daughters, Jennifer Ballew and her husband, Craig of Frisco, Texas, Corrine Weis and her husband, Matt of Dallas, Texas;he was a doting and beloved Poppa to his grandsons, Ashton Ballew and Connor Ballew; mother, Gwen Meldrum of Peterborough, Ontario; brothers, Bob Meldrum and his wife, Marg of Peterborough, Ontario, David Meldrum and his wife, Mary Ann of Peterborough, Ontario; four nephews and a host of friends. Peter is preceded in death by his father, John. The family will receive friends at a Memorial Gathering to be held on Friday, March 6, 2009 beginning at 7:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home in Allen on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Randy Mayeux officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Peter's memory to either The Samaritan Inn in McKinney, Texas or to the Dallas Social Venture Partners.
