Penny Weadon

Penny Weadon, age 67, of Plano, Texas, passed away February 21, 2007 in Dallas, Texas. She was born May 12, 1939 in Cochise County, Arizona. On October 16, 1965 she married Richard “Dick” Eugene Weadon. Penny loved her family and was proud of her grandchildren. She loved to work in her flower beds and relax in the hot tub. She and her husband, Richard, had a wonderful life together and traveled to many different countries. Penny touched the lives of everyone she met and will be missed by all her friends. She retired from SBC in 1991 and was currently employed by Hitachi Consulting. The family wishes to thank all of her fellow employees for their support and prayers during this time. She was a member of the Custer Road United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Dick; children, Julie Henderson (Trey Steinman) of Midlothian, TX and Michele Lee Weadon of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Connie Henderson of San Marcos, TX, Cristopher Henderson (Melissa) of Frisco, TX, and Gabriel Allen Weadon of Plano, TX; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob and Sara Beth Weadon of Cleburne, TX and Mary and Dan Dias of Cedar Rapids, IA; uncle, James Allen of Rancho Mirage, CA; aunt, Ruth Choate of Benson, AZ; nieces and nephews Greg Weadon (Cheryl) and their children Ariby and Justice of Bristow, VA, Paige Sloan (Ray Del) and their children Matt and Zach of Forney, TX, Gerald Dias of Milwaukee, WI, Michael Dias (June) and their children Cody and Mattison of Marcus, IA, Marshall (Sarah) Dias of Ottumwa, IA, Matthew Dias of Cedar Rapids, IA, Carolyn Nolting (Scott) of Benson, AZ, and Kathy Brunson (Karen Lenzini) of Grand Prairie, TX, Carla King and her daughter, Kalea of Cleburne, TX. She loved her miniature schnauzer dogs, Rosco and Max. In lieu of flowers, the family requests monetary donations may be made to the Lone Star Miniature Schnauzer Club Rescue, 972-285-4525. Preceding her in death were her parents, Patricia and George Aston; and grandmother Abby LaPrade. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. John Richardson officiating.
