IN LOVING MEMORY

Pearl Caudell

Jan 06 1923 - May 03 2014

Pearl (Davis) Caudell, loving mother, wife, sister and friend to many, passed away on May 3, 2014 at the age of 91 in McKinney, Texas. Born on January 6, 1923 near Anna, Texas, Pearl was the second of seven children born to Joseph and Eula Davis. Pearl graduated from Anna High School. She married Wilburn Dudley Caudell in 1943, whom she had known in school and church since childhood. They lived in Dallas, Texas until 1952 when they moved to Washington D.C. Air Force assignments took them to several locations including Florida, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio. As much as Pearl enjoyed wherever they made their home, she was thrilled to get back to Texas when they retired in 1984. Pearl loved and enjoyed her family and when she and her three sisters were together a good time and laughter was guaranteed! She was a fun playmate and patient teacher to the grand kids. Pearl was a woman of faith in her Lord and reflected His love and grace in her life every day. She was the queen of positive thinking, finding the good in all. Her beautiful smile and graciousness blessed those around her to the end. Pearl was a member of First Baptist Church in McKinney and the Naomi Sunday School class, Eastern Star and the Gas Light Book Club.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Dudley Caudell, sisters, Rita Tippey, Orlena Rigsby, brothers, John, Rayford, and Frank Davis.

She is survived by daughter, Joan Waggoner and husband Ken, of Belleville, Illinois; son, Wil Caudell and wife Jan of McKinney, Texas; sister, Lynn Mullinix of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Clayton Waggoner, Justin Caudell, Christina Caudell, Wilson Waggoner; and great-grandchildren, Brock and Brynn.

The family gratefully acknowledges the care and comfort given by the staff, residents and volunteers of Stonefield Assisted Living and Memory Care in McKinney and New Century Hospice.   Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Highway 75, Exit 38A, Ridgeview Drive, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will be at Stoney Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Friday morning.
