Patsy Ruth Self, age 81, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 1, 2013, in McKinney, Texas. Patsy was born October 20, 1931, in Collin County, Texas, to Samuel Alexander and Bertha May (Thomas) Eastham. She married J. D. Campbell in 1948 and later married Bill Self on July 6, 1952 in McKinney. Patsy grew up in Collin County where she attended schools. She was a homemaker, cleaning lady, and sitter. Patsy enjoyed gardening in her flower garden. She was a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church in McKinney.
She is survived by her children, John W. Campbell and wife, Susan of Carrollton, Texas, James David Campbell and wife, Teresa of Leonard, Texas, Beverly Kay Womack and husband, Kenneth of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Billy Frank Self, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Duncan, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, J. D. Campbell and Bill Self, daughter, Galua Crosby, and brothers, John William Eastham and Glenn Ray Eastham.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
