Patsy Glee Hursey McLean, 70, of Dallas, TX, passed away August 17, 2012, at Eckelberry Group Home, in Prosper, Texas. She was born in New York, NY, July 1, 1942, to the late Jesse Glee Hursey and Elberta Robinson Hursey.
Mrs. McLean was a registered nurse having graduated from the James Walker School of Nursing. Her career began with New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital. She continued her career in nursing at the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She retired with over thirty years of service. Reading and working crossword puzzles were her favorite pastimes along with visits to Myrtle Beach. She was a two-time survivor of cancer.
Surviving are her son, Trey McLean of Aubrey, TX; three grandchildren, Dakota, Cadence, and Cooper McLean; a sister, Betty Hursey Sherrill of Lake Toxaway, NC; and a brother, John Hursey of NM.
Her husband of thirty-two years, Bill McLean, preceded her in death in 2000.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm. Friday, August 24, 2012, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Wilmington, NC.
