Patrick Paul Cangelosi passed away suddenly on Thursday October 8, 2009 surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 4pm-6pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Prosper, Texas on Monday October 12, 2009 at 10:30am with graveside services following at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Frisco. He is survived by his wife, Sue Hammett Cangelosi of Prosper; children Lisa Cangelosi Brown and husband Joe of College Station, Christopher Cangelosi and wife Rachel of Brenham, and John Cangelosi and wife Nicole of Prosper; granddaughters Janie, Miriam, Sally and Annie Cangelosi of Brenham, and grandson Elias Cangelosi of Prosper; mother Lucille Cangelosi of Bryan; sister and brother-in-law Laurel and Dr. Martin Medhurst of McGregor and their children James Snedden and Julia Medhurst; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Joan Hammett of Plano and their children Allison Hammett, Andrew Hammett and wife Kelly, and Anne Mills and husband Seth; numerous cousins, and a wealth of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Cangelosi, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Cathryn Hammett. Pat was born August 12, 1945 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and grew up in Bryan, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University and remained a devoted Aggie. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and his loyalty to his country was steadfast. His career brought him to the Dallas area in 1972 where he continued to reside. Pat was an avid golfer, a born salesman, consistently active in his local church and was dedicated to his profession as a consultant in the mergers and acquisitions industry. Pat is especially remembered for his passion for life and love for the Jesus Christ. His spiritual gift of evangelism changed the lives of countless friends as well as strangers. He never hesitated to show his love by actions for anyone in need. He felt that his mission as a follower of Christ was to exemplify the unconditional love that our Heavenly Father has for us all, especially for those who hadn’t experienced or known that relationship before. A visitation will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at 8520 Main Street, Frisco, Texas on Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 4pm-6pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, Prosper, Texas on Monday October 12, 2009 at 10:30am with Pastor Glenn Meredith officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco. In lieu of flowers, Pat would have preferred donations be made to LifeBridge Church in McKinney. www.lifebridge-church.com
