Patricia Ann Baxter, age 68, of Princeton, Texas, left us to join her Lord and Savior in Heaven on January 26, 2017, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 19, 1948, to H. B. England and Georgia Lynn (Bratton) England in Josephine, Texas, and was a 1966 graduate of Community High School. Patricia was a devoted member of the Plano Fire Department for twenty-one years as the Senior Administrator Assistant for Personnel Services. Affectionately known as "Ms. Pat,” she was the “Mother” of the department, loving and caring for each and every member as one of her own. She was also a faithful and devout member of the Midway Baptist Church family, where she frequently ministered by singing and playing the piano.

Ms. Pat is survived by her son, Jason Baxter and his wife Wendy; grandsons, Grant, Jacob, and Tyler of Wylie, Texas; granddaughter, Kristen; sister, Betty Heard of Mabank, Texas; several nieces, nephews, numerous cousins; and over 400 “adopted children” of the Plano Fire Department.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Anderson.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Midway Baptist Church, 205 South Bridgefarmer Road in McKinney, Texas 75069. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church.
