Ouida Lois Myrick, age 80, of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully on August 12, 2008 surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 6, 1928 in Royse City, Texas to Anist and Lois (Becknell) Hurst. On May 23, 1947 she married Troy E. Myrick in McKinney, Texas. Ouida worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and Thomason Tire, Inc. She is survived by her daughters, Connie Thomason and husband, Ronnie of McKinney, Diane Holley and husband, David of Boat Club, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Robbie Thomason and wife, Lana of McKinney, Casey Trolson and husband, Rob of Wylie, Jeri Thomason-Laney and husband, John Laney of McKinney; great-grandchildren, Evan Trolson, Lauren Trolson, Jacob Laney, Gage Thomason, Nathan Trolson and Seth Thomason; sister, Kelly Reeves of Quinlan; brother, Wayne Hurst of Lake Tawakoni and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Anist and Lois Hurst; husband, Troy E. Myrick; one brother and three sisters. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Wilson Chapel Cemetery, McKinney, Texas with Rev. Ron Hathcoat officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. The Lowry Crossing Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
