Othar Iruna “Rooney” Moses, 73, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 4, 2011. Othar was born January 1, 1938 in Chambersville, Collin County, Texas to Iruna “Buddy” and Annie (Fortner) Moses. He began his career in banking in 1956. Othar enjoyed fishing and feeding backyard birds, especially maintaining a Purple Martin house. He was a member of Northwest Christian Church in McKinney. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann (Wallace) Moses, of McKinney; daughters, Kathy Jo Moses; Kim (McCormack) Nerada and husband, Dan Nerada, and their children, Thomas and Lauren, all of McKinney; sister, Ethel Jane (Moses) Donica of Nashoba, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Lasca (Mallow) Moses; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George William Moses. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service.
