Oscar Richards, age 83, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 26, 2009. He was born January 22, 1926 in Paris, Texas to Thomas and Lucinda (Allen) Richards. On February 3, 1952 he married Naomi Crawford Johnson in Paris, Texas. Oscar proudly served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He is survived by his daughters, Peggy Jones of McKinney, Patsy Dicken of Rock Port, Texas, Saundra Annette of McKinney, Texas and Doretha Koester of St. Louis, Missouri; son, Johnny Johnson of Paris, Texas; brother, Jasper Richards of Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lucinda Richards; wife, Naomi Richards; sons, Jay and Harvey Johnson; brother, Thomas Richards and sister, Dorothy Richards. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas with Deacon Ron Fejeran officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to service.
