Orlando Sanchez, age 62 of Plano, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.Orlando was born on June 27th, 1953 in Nicaragua to Teresa Bucardo and Armando Sanchez. A born scholar, he excelled in academics and graduated from La Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Nicaragua in 1980 as a Certified Public Accountant. He and Matilde married in 1984 and soon after their marriage they decided to embark on a life changing journey together to California. Orlando was a hard worker and made it his mission to live the American dream. He accomplished everything he set out to do and in 1990 took a leap of faith and became self-employed. He established Bookkeeping Plus, Inc. in Huntington Park, California and poured his heart and soul into his business and it flourished. He was always hungry for more knowledge and was proud to guide his clients and their businesses into financial success. He came a long way from his humble beginnings in Nicaragua and that is the legacy he left his children and grandchildren; that if you are willing to work hard enough you can accomplish anything you set out to do. Even in his four year battle with cancer, he taught his loved ones about courage and faith. In his spare time he loved to travel to exotic destinations and making lasting memories with his family was always a priority.
He is survived by his loving wife, Matilde Sanchez of Plano, Texas; daughters, Adriana Sanguily and Erika Sanchez of Plano, Texas. Sons, Eilezer Sanchez of Rancho Cucamonga, California, Orlando Sanchez of San Francisco California and daughter Belkys Blackwell from Union City, California from his first marriage; grandchildren, Johanna, Elijah, Emillio, Michael, Isaac, Jocelyn, Isaiah, Decius and Donovan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015.
