Orie B. Hardin

Known to her family and friends as “B”; she was a long-time resident of McKinney and Frisco, Texas. She was born October 27, 1927, in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama and went to be with her Lord October 4, 2007. She is preceded in death by her parents Ida Florence Watts Martin and Echo R. Martin, three brothers and two sisters. For many years she was employed by Haggar Slack Company and worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant and was retired at the time of her death. Ms. Hardin is survived by two children: daughter, Betty Ann Hardin-Brown & husband, Charles; son, Robert (Bob) H. Hardin, Jr.; three grandchildren: Charles Scott Brown and wife Michelle; Kristie Louann Brown; Robert H. Hardin, III; two great-grandchildren: Jillian Christine & Hillary Karol Brown; numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Frisco, Texas. She provided support, care and love to countless numbers of patients and friends throughout her life. She unselfishly cared for others much more than herself. “Her smile, laughter, humor, and wisdom will be missed always and forever; our hearts will never be the same. Although she is absent from us now, we are confident that the Gates of Heaven opened and she is with our Heavenly Father”. Special thanks to Brenda Daniels, caregiver, Abby Tolbert, RN, staff at Vitas Hospice Inpatient Unit, Irving, Texas, Taysir Jarrah, MD and staff for your loving care and support. Interment will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. For those who desire, memorials may be made to Vitas Innovative Hospice, Dallas, Texas or the American Heart Association.
