ONEIDA GRAVES left this earthly life and entered her eternal home on Tuesday September 25, 2012. Oneida was born on March 11, 1922, to John and Lena Bowden Mays in the Hale community, near Bonham, TX.   Her family moved to Melissa, TX when she was a young child. She met and married Raymond Graves in May 1939; they made their home in Melissa, and were active in the community, the school and Methodist and Christian churches. Oneida was a homemaker and care giver and loved helping and visiting her friends, family and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and sister.

Oneida is survived by her son and his wife David & Barbara Graves of Murphy, TX and daughter and her husband Margaret & Bob Stiles of Spring, TX, Grandchildren Janet and John Nelson, Jr. and Mike and Melynda Stiles, three great grandchildren Tyler & Matthew Nelson and Mikayla Stiles. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a wonderful group of dear and loyal friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, September27, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas.
