Mr. Olyn Othele (Buck) Mahan of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away July 13, 2015 in McKinney, Texas. He was born January 2, 1939 in Blue   Ridge, Texas the son of B.J. and Chloa Press Mahan. He married Linda Sellers April 8, 1961 in Blue Ridge, Texas and was a retired production control supervisor in the electronics industry. He served in the United States Marines, he loved the game of baseball and played for the Marines while in the Corps. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church where served as a deacon and served the Blue Ridge Cemetery Association for many years.

Mr. Mahan is survived by his wife, Linda Mahan of Blue Ridge, Texas and children; Stacy Mahan Norton and husband John of Blue Ridge, Texas and ArDena Mahan Johnson and husband Ricky and son Jeff Mahan all of McKinney, Texas. He also is survived by 3 grandchildren Jacob Norton, Lucas Norton and Molly Norton Claypool and husband Denver, and 1 great grandson Jaxon Claypool. Other survivors include 2 sisters; Vonda Mahan Harmon and husband Ronald of Blue Ridge, Texas and Verna Williams and husband Charles of Hendricks, Oklahoma. He is also survived by nephews; Barry Harmon and Joe Williams and niece Lynn Hendrex.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Johnnie Jones and Rev. Sean Bailey officiating and interment will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery. Vistitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church. Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge.
