Oleta Judd Phennel, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2013 at the age of 93. She was born on March 29, 1919, in Tickey Creek, Texas, to Isaac Homer and Sarah Luvenia (Preston) Judd. On October 3, 1945, Oleta married Earl Thomas Phennel in Durant, Oklahoma. She went to school in Culleoka, Texas. Oleta worked at Intercontinental and North American where she made wing tips during World War II; she was one of the “Rosie Riveter” girls. She loved cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. Oleta was a member of Culleoka Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Michael Phennel and wife Connie of Princeton, Tena Gilbert of Princeton, Jan Rushing and husband William of Prosper; grandchildren, Brad and Jessica Craft of Denton, Texas, Steve and Savita Gilbert of Wylie, Texas, Brian and Jocelyn Craft of Midlothian, Texas, Stacy and Aaron Reeves of Wylie, Texas, Kendra and Matt Caldwell of Nashville, Tennessee, Lindsey and Frank Rattan of Lake Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Blake, Ainsley, Avery, Emery, Kyle, Austin, Jacob, Alyssa, Aubrey, Josiah, Charlie, Taylor and Emma; brother, Leon Judd and wife Nell of Culleoka.

Oleta is preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Sarah Judd; husband, Earl Thomas Phennel; daughter, Dwennell Craft; infant son, William Ivy Phennel; brothers, Porter and J.S. Judd.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
