Shortly before WW/2 she and her then husband Lonnie Edmonds and daughter Elsie moved to town and she went to work in the cotton mill, which was no piece of cake. In the summer time no AC, winter time no heat and at times it was difficult to see from one end of the building to the other for the cotton lint and dust from the forced ventilation system, she stuck with it till they closed it over twenty years. Later in her spare time after WW/2 she ran the drive-in theater that was locater at the North East corner of the intersection of Highway 5 and 380 until it closed, she then went to work at Alumator, a factory in Plano until forced retirement at sixty five.
