Norman Page Sorensen

Norman Page Sorensen of McKinney, Texas passed away October 16, 2016, at the age of 72 after a long battle with Multiple Myloma.  He was born May 27, 1944, to Page R. Sorensen and Marie Antonettie (Winnegar) Sorensen in Eugene, Oregon.  Norman served his country proudly in the United States Navy.  He married Julie Kay Johnson on September 7, 1968, in Omaha, Nebraska.  Norman was part owner of Omaha Kawasaki for several years.  He then worked as a sales engineer for Coburn Optical Industries for thirty-six years. His hobbies included racing motocross, muscle car and motorcycle restoration, fishing and traveling. Norman was passionate about riding with the Patriot Guard.  He had a real zest for life, family and friends. Norman was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his spouse, Julie Kay Sorensen of McKinney, Texas; son, Brad Sorensen and wife Julie of Olive Branch, Mississippi; daughter, Amy Payne and husband Miles of New Braunfels, Texas; nine grandchildren; brother, Richard Sorensen and wife Jane of Mesa, Arizona; sisters, Demaris Hochalter and husband Wayne also of Mesa, Arizona and Shirley Herrera and husband Art of Lake Stevens, Washington.
 
Norman was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Sorensen.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas.
