Nettie Beth Jones, age 85, of Allen, Texas, passed away on October 25, 2011. She was born October 8, 1926, in McKinney, Texas, to Price and Etna (Turnbow) Strickland. Beth grew up and attended schools in McKinney. On August 5, 1944, Beth married Wm. Clayton Jones who preceded her in death on October 31, 2008. She worked for Ragland Insurance Agency for over twenty years as an underwriter; and enjoyed watching television, especially her favorite show “Law and Order”. Beth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Allen, Texas. She is survived by her children, Lynn Jones and her companion Mark McMahan of Plano, Texas, and Mike Jones of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Ben Strickland, Frank Strickland and wife Elaine; sister-in-law, Beverly Jones; several nieces and nephews; a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow.
