Nell Sudderth Giles, age 88, of Fort Worth, formally of Bonham, departed this life to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on January 4, 2011 at the West Side Campus of Care at Fort Worth. She passed away surrounded by family and friends that had been touched by her love throughout the years. A funeral service was held for her January 6th at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard, Texas where she grew up. Charles Wrenn officiated. Pallbearers were Mark Abbott, Morgan Mabry, Ralph Northcutt, Keith Christopher, Gary Jones and Ronnie Bannister, Jr. Her final resting place is in the Valley Creek Cemetery near Leonard. Nell was born March 2, 1922 in Leonard to Hubert and Ora Sudderth. Nell enjoyed spending time with her family, playing dominos, cards and Sorry, listening to music and fishing. She was devoted to her family and doing for others. There has never been a less selfish person that always gave of herself. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Marci and Mark Abbott of Fort Worth; her sister and brother-in-law: Peggy and Ralph Northcutt of Gun Barrel; her grandson: Morgan Mabry of Fort Worth; her nephews: Keith Christopher of Hendersonville, TN and Ronnie Bannister; her nieces: Donna Danielson of Saginaw and Becky Jones of Leonard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Vernon Giles; her sisters: Golia Nadine (Tiny) Worsham and Toi Frances Christopher; her brother: Rayburn Sudderth and her nephew: Ricky Bannister. Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home of Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
