Nathaniel Edward Humphrey, Jr. of McKinney, Texas passed away on October 12, 2016 at the age of 66.  He was born on July 28, 1950 to Nathaniel Edward and Mary (Robinson) Humphrey, Sr. in Detroit, Michigan.  Nate married Annie Mae Epps on April 1, 1978 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.

Nate is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Annie Mae Humphrey of McKinney, Texas; sons, Tyrone Hampton and wife, Jackie, Steve Hampton all of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Nathaniel Humphrey III and wife Leigh of McKinney, Texas, Brian Keith Humphrey and wife, Althea of Snellville, Georgia; daughters, Alice Jones and husband, Jeff of Lansing, Michigan, Anita Epps and husband, Marvin of Benton Harbor, Michigan; brothers, Derek Humphrey and wife, Catrina, Rodney Humphrey and wife, Jacqueline all of Detroit, Michigan; sisters, Sheila Massey of Romulus, Michigan, Pamela Humphrey of Chicago, Illinois; aunt, Janet Strother; grandchildren, Tyrone Rogers and wife, Elizabeth, Jacquel Pinson and husband, Olajuwon, Jason Rogers, Lakeisha Hampton, Stephen Hampton, Tyrice Hampton, Tyana Reaves, Odetress Reaves; LaCarla and Brandon Bell, Jasmine Jones, and fiancé, Brandon, Jessica Humphrey, Brian K. Humphrey, Jr., Nicholas Benjamin Humphrey, Brea Marie Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Tykierra Rogers, Tyrone Rogers, Jalen Moore, Cartier Rogers, Jordan Walton, Ryland Walton, Elijah Hampton, Onetres Reaves, Tywon Reaves, Taron Reaves, Jeremiah Bell; and many other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gwendolyn Thomas-Jacobs; and brother, John Richberg.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday afternoon, October 16, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at The Progressive Baptist Church, 245 Pipestone St., Benton Harbor, Michigan.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Crystal Spring Cemetery.
