Naomi Kathryn Brewer

Naomi Kathryn Partridge Brewer passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Medical Center of McKinney, McKinney, Texas. She was born on August 9, 1929 in Whitewright, Texas to Carl and Clara Blackwell Partridge. She graduated from high school in Greenville, Texas. She married the love of her life, Eugene Brewer in McKinney, Texas. They shared their life together for 63 years. They shared the love of gardening. They always had an abundant vegetable garden and beautiful flowers. She loved to grow “Sweet Williams” and “Forget Me Nots”. They loved to share with all. She loved to cook and was known for her German Chocolate Cake and Peach Cobblers. She loved gospel music and her faith in Jesus Christ was foundational to the way she lived her life. She made many lasting friends through the years with Avon and will be missed by all.

Naomi is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis Welch and husband James of McKinney and Nancy Gene Thompson and husband Larry of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Danny Craig and wife, Johnna, Steven Craig and wife, Melissa; Paula Kent and husband, John of Leonard; John Gillaspy of Questa, New Mexico; great grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla Olivia and Emily Craig; and Benjamin and Emily Kent; sister, Frances Pritchard of Blue Ridge, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Charles Brewer; brother James Doyle Partridge; and sister, Zelma Laverne Wells.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Leonard, with Rev. Wayne Hutchins and Rev. Kendall Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow at East Shady Grove Cemetery in Trenton, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Leonard, Texas.
