Mrs. Nancy Sue “Gibby” Pinnell, age 68, of Allen, Texas passed away December 15, 2007, at her home. She was born March 29, 1939, in Monahans, Texas to William Andrew and Avis Maurine (Shafer) Cosper. On August 3, 1963, she married James Russell Pinnell. Mrs. Pinnell was a graduate of North Texas State University. She was a past teacher in Arvada, Colorado, and Irving and Richardson ISD’s. She also taught for the Plano ISD until her retirement. Mrs. Pinnell was a member of the Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano. She is survived by her husband, James; son, Hunter Pinnell and his wife, Libby of Fairview, Texas; daughter, Krista Thornley and husband, Dimitri of Allen; grandchildren, Dallas, Tate and AnnieGrace Thornley and Parker, Kade and Jaxon Pinnell; brother, James Cosper; sister, Peggy Tolles; and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Neeley and brother, Dale Eugene. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at Custer Road United Methodist Church with Dr. Ron Henderson and Rev. John Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. A family graveside service will be held Thursday, December 20, 2007, at Andrews County Cemetery, in Andrews, Texas. Memorials may be made to Custer Road United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
