Nadine Wysong

Mrs. Nadine Wysong, age 95, of McKinney, Texas passed away November 16, 2010, in Plano, Texas. She was born May 15, 1915, in Chicago, Illinois, and was raised by Thomas and Elizabeth Phillipi. On October 31, 1947, she married Dr. Scott Wysong II in Topeka, Kansas. Nadine attended Kansas University, after moving to McKinney she became a member of the Jean D’Arc Literary Club and her bridge club. She was an active member of the First Christian Church in McKinney, where she played the piano for Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years. Her priorities in life were her faith in God, family and friends. She was encouraging and generous to her children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, where they always knew they were dearly loved. Additionally, Nadine loved her church family, flowers, music, people, and animals. She enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and traveling. Nadine is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Richard Ruschhaupt of Plano, Texas, Penny and Dr. Mark Sherrod of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Ross and Reed Ruschhaupt both of Plano, Matt and Travis Sherrod both of Austin, Dr. Scott Wysong IV of Arlington, Texas, Carlisle Wysong and wife, Bridget of New York, New York, Bill Wysong of Nashville, Tennessee, and Christi Gimber of Youngsville, North Carolina; and numerous other loving family members and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Scott Wysong II; son, Scott Wysong III; and brothers, Clarke and Clayton Phillipi. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2010, at the First Christian Church, 1800 Hunt St. in McKinney with Dr. Neill Grimes officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Family and friends are invited to Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at their convenience on Friday, November 19, 2010, to pay their respects and to sign the register book. A private graveside service will be held at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, 1800 Hunt St., McKinney, Texas 75069. The family wishes to thank the nurses, caretakers, and staff of the Legacy at Willow Bend for their loving care and kindness.
