Myrtle Lee Johnson of Princeton, Texas passed away September 15, 2015 at the age of 83. She was born January 21, 1932 to Harvey Bryant and Thelma (Seals) Bryant in Gulf Port, Mississippi. Myrtle married Francis Charles Johnson, Sr., April 30, 1951 in Gulf Port, Mississippi. She was the second oldest child in her family. Myrtle raised her brothers and sisters as well as her own children. She was an artist, crafter, avid gardener, great cook and had a love for fashion. Myrtle was protective of her family. She always saw the good in people.
Myrtle was survived by her husband, Francis Charles Johnson, Sr. of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Katherine Pierce of Corpus Christi; sons, Francis Charles Johnson, Jr. of Austin and Paul Johnson of Manassas, Virginia; grandchildren, Chris Johnson, Jr., Kenny Johnson, Nathan Johnson, and Bryant Johnson, Cara Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Tyler Johnson; sisters, Mary Holcomb, Betty Cowart, Helen Bogart; and brothers, John Bryant, Mark Bryant, and Harvey Bryant, Jr.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ida Hickman.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
