IN LOVING MEMORY

Myles McQuarters

Oct 22 1929 - Oct 16 2005

On October 16, 2005, Myles McQuarters peacefully entered into our Father’s Heavenly Kingdom. Myles was born October 22, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, from the union of Emma and Myles McQuarters. The family relocated to New York where Myles completed high school and two years of a degree in electronic engineering. He served his country in the U. S. Army, was chief engineer at radio station WLIR for many years, and retired from Pan Am World Airways as an air craft technician. He enjoyed being an amateur radio operator and conversed with numerous ham buddies across the country. Myles married Almetta, a single mom, and became husband and father in 1961. A kind, sweet and gentle man who dearly loved his family and was willing and happy to help others in need. He loved the Lord and truly had a servant’s heart. God be with you until we meet again. Myles leaves cherished memories with his loving and devoted wife, Almetta; daughter, Sandra Gibson and son-in-law, Lester of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Jason and Daniel Gibson also of Plano; mother-in-law, Lillie Alexander of New York, New York; sister-in-law, Lillie Griffith and husband, Hugh of New York; nieces, Wanda Thomas, Lisa Ashford and Nina McLain; nephew, Neil Griffith; cousin, Quintella Knight; and relatives in Detroit and other lifelong friends and associates.
