MGySgt. Lenoard Brown, Ret., age 66, of Allen, Texas, passed away July 29, 2016. Lenoard was born February 1, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas, to Johnie and Everlena (Mims) Brown. He married Elaine Cunningham on December 26, 1982, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lenoard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for twenty-three years until his retirement on May 31, 1993. He then went to work for the state of Texas Attorney General’s office. After serving there, Lenoard became the Vice President of Maintenance with the Dallas Housing Authority. He loved riding his 100th year edition Harley Road King Classic. Lenoard was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Brown of Allen, Texas; daughters, Nekia Cunningham and Trina Brown, both of Allen, Texas; son, Brandon Brown, also of Allen; granddaughter, Serenity Dorsey; brothers, Washington Brown and wife, Mandy, Freddie Lee Brown and wife, Betty, Lester Charles Brown, Frank Brown, and Joe Brown and wife, Archie, all of Lubbock, Texas; and sister, Rose Hankson and husband, Charles, also of Lubbock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Everlena Brown, brothers, Carl Brown, Albert Brown, and John Brown, and grandson, Finley Dorsey.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. Interment with full military honors will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
