Mrs. Vivian Pauline Gant, age 90, of McKinney, Texas, passed away June 7, 2012, in Denison, Texas. Mrs. Gant was born January 6, 1922, in McKinney, Texas, to Roy Owen and Minnie Myrtle (Kirkland) Ramey. She married WK Gant, Jr. on September 30, 1939, in Collin County, Texas. Mrs. Gant grew up in Collin County where she lived all of her life. She worked in the dietary department at Collin Memorial Hospital in McKinney. Mrs. Gant enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the lake. Mrs. Gant was a member of East Fork Baptist Church where she was very active.

She is survived by her son, Ron Gant and wife, Liz of Denison, Texas; daughter, Paula Gant of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Gant and wife, Shawn of Melissa, Texas, Brad Gant and wife, Christy of Celina, Texas, Jennifer Deaton and husband, Mike of Frisco, Texas, and Alison Webb and husband, Chant of Prosper, Texas; and great-grandchildren, Briana Gant, Carissa Gant, Priscilla Gant, Ethan Gant, Michaela Deaton, Kaitlyn Deaton, Jaxon Webb, and Keeson Webb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, William Owen Ramey, sister, Kathleen Elizabeth Sanders, and grandson, Ronnie Chad Gant.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
