Mrs. Glenna Rutledge, age 79, of Climax (formerly of McKinney), Texas, passed away June 8, 2004, in McKinney. She was born September 15, 1924, in Climax, to Armey Lee and Edna Ellen (Dillard) Blankenship. She married Shelby Bruce Rutledge on October 19, 1949, in Sherman, Texas. Mrs. Rutledge was a homemaker. She was a member of Pittman Creek Church of Christ and a former member of High Pointe Church of Christ. She is survived by her brothers, Raymond Blankenship and his wife, Patsy of Plano, Texas, Armey Oland Blankenship of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Robert Lee Blankenship and his wife, Linda of McKinney; sister, Frances Pauline Busby of Denver, Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Vivian Long, Dorothy Jachetta and Ruth Rutledge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 19, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Brother Steve Roseberry Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
