IN LOVING MEMORY

Mr. Richard James Havins

Aug 03 1978 - Mar 20 2013

Mr. Richard James Havins was born August 3, 1978 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a high school graduate and worked as a Field Engineer IV in road construction. He married Karen Lynn Lavoie January 23, 2004 in Bonham. He passed away March 20, 2013 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A private memorial service was conducted by his family.

Rich was by nature very quiet and laid back in public, but those who knew him well saw a different side to him. He was highly intelligent and extremely well read and he could talk for hours with a knack for finding humor in just about every situation no matter how inappropriate. This and his quick wit will be missed the most by his family.

He disliked very little in this world, loved to eat and spent hours researching things he was interested in. He was very strong in every sense of the word and he worried very little. He could fall asleep faster than any human being on earth and loved waking up to a cup of coffee as much as he loved a cup before bed.

Rich was a great Daddy to his three children, Tristan Richard, Talan John and Kellan Emily. He was accepting, understanding and the best tickler in the whole world. He was a wealth of information for his children who loved some of the same subjects as their Daddy.

A wife couldn’t have asked for a better husband. He was a blessing to his wife for a short 13 years but they were filled with his love, the patience of a saint and more humor and laughter than a woman could have hoped for.
