Miriam Marjorie McLemore

Miriam Marjorie McLemore, age 94, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2013 after a brief illness. After fifty years of residing in McKinney, Texas, she moved to New Braunfels. Miriam was born on October 19, 1919 to William Horace and Clara Pearl Napier, in Seminary, Mississippi. Miriam married Grady Millard McLemore on June, 15, 1940, in Mississippi. She was previously a member of First United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas. She attended Eden Hill Communities Chapel in New Braunfels.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Mann and son-in-law, Melvin who reside in Denton, Texas and son, G. Lynn McLemore and his wife, Sandy, who reside in New Braunfels, Texas. She is survived by two sisters, Bobbie Nell Sumrall of Hattisburg, Mississippi and Mary Louise Ivy of Center, Texas. Miriam is survived by her grandchildren, Bryan Waddle and, wife Laura; Mandy, and husband Tom Dirickson; David McLemore, and wife Paula; Keith McLemore, and wife Lacy, great-grandchildren Jacob, Olivia, Caleb McLemore and Quinlan and Riley McLemore, Drew Waddle; Will Dirickson, and wife Megan; Ben Dirickson, Hannah Dirickson; and great-great grandson, Trenton Tucker. Miriam also leaves behind in New Braunfels, her dear friends Roman and Mary Ybarra and her Eden Hill Communities’ friends and caring residential and chapel staff.

Miriam is preceded in death by her husband, Grady and granddaughter, Amie Waddle.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway N., Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held on Saturday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
