Minnie Juanita Carnes

May 21 1937 - May 25 2013

Minnie Juanita Carnes of McKinney, Texas passed away May 25, 2013 at the age of 76. She was born May 21, 1937 to Grover and Ella (Jennings) Davis in Tom, Oklahoma. She grew up in Arkinda, Texas where she attended schools. Minnie married Bobby R. Carnes on June 30, 1967 in El Paso, Texas. Minnie worked for Commercial Union Insurance Companies as an underwriter assistant for 38 years until her retirement in 1997. Minnie worked as a Wal-Mart door greeter after her retirement. She was a former Sunday school teacher in El Paso and McKinney, Texas. Minnie enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her daughters, RaDonna Pease and husband Merlin of McKinney, Texas and Shirlee Ann Rincon and husband Gonzo of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Tashina Pease, Jessica Thomas, Alex Rincon, Jenna Rincon, Chance Pease; great-grandson, Ezekiel Thomas and many numerous other loving relatives and friends.  

Minnie was preceded in death by husband, Bobby R. Carnes; son, Bobby Ray Carnes II; daughter, Shelia Gunnells and brother, William Davis.  

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.   The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
