Mildred Artell Ranes, age 88, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 in Carrollton, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was welcomed through Heaven’s gates by God’s angels, her husband Joe and her mother Artie.

She was a homemaker and wonderful mother to her and Joe’s three children. Artell worked part time at many local McKinney businesses. She always had a smile and a warm greeting for everyone she met.

She was baptized into the Baptist faith in Melissa and was a long time member of King Memorial, Faith Memorial and Community North Baptist churches in McKinney.

She lost the love of her life, husband Bennie Joe, in November of 2007 and missed him terribly. She also was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Dow, Willie, and Jesse Monroe.
