Mildred "Milli" Elizabeth Fisher

Mildred Elizabeth “Milli” Fisher, age 90, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2015.  She was born on October 22, 1924 in Blue Ridge, Texas, to Frank Virgil and Dona (Monk) Sims.  On January 13, 1945, Milli married Ed Fisher, in Farmersville, Texas. She grew up in the Farmersville area where she graduated from Farmersville High School in 1943. Milli worked for Raytheon, formerly E Systems, for 28 years, until she retired in 1988. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and making earrings. Milli was a member of Wylie Church of Christ in Wylie, Texas.

She is survived by her children, Daniel Fisher, Karen Smith and husband Jay all of Wylie, Texas; grandchildren, Cheri Noles and husband Todd of Grapevine, Texas, Christi Blankenship and husband Scott of Tyler, Texas, Dustin Fisher of Seymour, Tennessee, Zach Smith of Addison, Texas; great-grandchildren, MacKenzi Yarbrough and husband Bo, Madi Blankenship, Will Blankenship, Trevor Noles, Cara Noles and Reese Fisher; great-great-grandson, Abel Yarbrough; brother, Ralph Sims of DeKalb, Texas; sister, Loveta Harvey of Grand Saline, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.

Milli is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Virgil and Dona Sims; husband, Ed Fisher; son, John Thomas “Tommy” Fisher; brothers, Melvin and Aubrey Sims; sisters, Doris Gibson, Marie Spawn, Helen Rushing, Lucille Isbell and Edith Edwards.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
