Mildred Ann Jarvis

Mildred “Millie” Ann Morris Jarvis was born November 5, 1933 in Grayson County, Texas to Berton Arlington Morris and Rebecca Irene Dixon Morris. She married P.M. Jarvis, Jr. on August 9, 1949. She died Friday, January 30, 2015 at Mullican Care Center in Savoy, Texas at the age of 81. She was a resident of Whitewright, Texas.

Millie loved life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family and worked hard to help provide for them. She was employed 38 years at Texas Instruments. Most of those years were as an executive secretary. She had many hobbies including art, crafts, needlework, gardening, and dancing, but primarily she loved raising cattle. She enjoyed a blessed and fulfilled life.

Millie is survived by daughters, Kathy Mitchell and husband Ken, and Karen Richards and husband, Chuck all of Whitewright; granddaughter, Amber Lewis of Whitewright; grandsons, Matt Lewis of Sherman, Nicholas Mitchell and wife Brandi of Frisco, Jacob McEntire and wife Charity of Corinth, David McEntire and wife Laila of Lewisville, and Mark McEntire of Denton; great-grandchildren, Aliyah Mitchell, Landon Faison, Gage McEntire, and Sterling McEntire; sister, Patsy Rigsby of Wylie; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers and sisters, Flossie, Faye, Weldon, J.E., John, Winfred, Mary, Bonnie, Lonnie, Bill, and Alton.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Morris. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, Whitewright, Texas.
