Mildred Lorene Cordell, age 77, of Van Alstyne, Texas passed away June 18, 2011. She was born December 19, 1933, in Hindsville, Arkansas to Jesse William and Hattie May (Bohannan) Alderson. She married Glenn Cordell in February of 1948, in Hindsville, Arkansas. Mildred lived most of her life in Springdale, Arkansas, and was a homemaker. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Cordell Wheaton and husband Charles of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Yvonne Cordell Kendrick and husband Bob of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Allisha Wheaton Speed and husband Doug of Owasso, Oklahoma, Brooke Wheaton Hightower and husband Lance of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Derik Kendrick and wife Glenda of Whitewright, Texas, Michael Kendrick and wife Christy of Bells, Texas; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Ray and Linda Allen; and brother, Dale Alderson. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on June 24, 2011 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
