Mike “Poppy” Hocker, age 63, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2013. He was born on February 26, 1950 in McKinney, Texas to J.B. and Mollie Maurine (Frederick) Hocker. Mike married Viki Lynette Jones on May 1, 1972 in McKinney, Texas. He worked for Stewart Engineering for twenty years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Viki Hocker of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Diana Almand and husband Buster of McKinney; grandchildren, Jake Hocker and Cym Almand both of McKinney; sister, Donna Sisk of Bonham, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. Hocker and Maurine Dillard and Brother Jerry Wayne Hocker.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Memory of Mike “Poppy” Hocker.
