Mike Cowgill, age 67, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on May 18, 2012. He was born September 19, 1944, in Royse City, Texas, to Francis Weldon “Bud” and Mary Catherine “Teda” (Frazier) Cowgill. On May 15, 1965, Mike married Sharon Ann Taylor in McKinney, Texas. He was a driver for Roadway Trucking and a member of the Teamsters Union. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Cowgill of McKinney; children, Stacy Emberson and husband Thomas of Allen, Texas and Scott Cowgill of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Abigail and Jacob Emberson; and brother, Joe Cowgill and wife Donnette of Caddo Mills, Texas.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00pm until 9:00 pm, on Monday, May 21, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
