Michael Stephen Thompson, age 36, of Denton, Texas passed away March 23, 2007 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on March 17, 1971, in Houston, Texas, to Tim and Linda (Boyd) Thompson. He attended school in Lafayette, Lousiana. Michael was a Louisiana Tech graduate majoring in construction engineering and he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He served his country in the US Navy. On June 27, 1998, he married Krystal Wheeler in Choudrant, Louisiana. He was employed with Satterfield & Pontikes Construction in Irving, Texas. Previously he worked for Hensel-Phelps Construction. He enjoyed flying and golf, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife Krystal; father, Tim Thompson and his wife Sandra of McKinney, TX; mother, Linda Eggleston of Lafayette, LA; grandparents, Adair Thompson of Ely, MN and Louise Boyd of Lafayette, LA; brothers, Aaron Carola of Houston, TX and Matt & Jesse Thompson of McKinney, TX; sister, Carrie Eggleston of Lafayette, LA; nieces, Kristal & Karlie Stuckey of Ruston, LA and Skylar Wheeler of Choudrant, LA; In-laws, Wilbur & Shane Wheeler of Choudrant, LA; and a host of other family and friends. Preceding him in death were his grandfather Paul Boyd and brother Nathan Carola. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. Following the service the family will host a reception at Krystal’s residence. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.
