Mr. Michael Wayne Smith, age 52, of McKinney, Texas, passed away November 20, 2004, at his home. He was born December 21, 1951, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Vernon Robert and Roberta Willine (Daniels) Smith. He married Wanda White on June 29, 1974, in McKinney. Mr. Smith was a 1996 graduate of SMU. He was an electrical engineer and was employed by Texas Instruments for 32 years. He was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Plano. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wanda Smith of McKinney, Texas; sons, Brandon Smith of Frisco, Texas, Travis Smith and wife, Jessica of Melissa, Texas, and Christopher Chad Smith of McKinney; sisters, Carol Allison and husband, David of Farmington, New Mexico, Margaret Tucker of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Wilma Reppert and husband, Larry of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Linda Nirschel of Arlington, Texas; brothers, Vaden Smith and wife, Loretta of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Gary Smith and wife, Dottie of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Freddy Smith and wife, Paulette of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, November 24, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Chaplain John Corcoris officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
