Michael Lynn Sheriff, 64, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 after battling a long-term illness. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6 -8 p.m. Thursday, June 10 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at St. Michael Catholic Church, on Paula St. in McKinney. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. A memorial gathering at the family home will conclude the ceremonies. A 5th generation Denver native, he received his education at St. Thomas College and the University of Denver and has resided in Plano, Texas since 1982. He is an inventor, patent holder and serial entrepreneur with over forty years of experience in the computer, electronics and telecommunications industry. Founder of ArcAngel Technologies, Inc. he was also formerly Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the X-Change Corporation and AirGATE Technologies, Inc. Mike’s pioneer spirit to innovate in business was matched by his intellectual curiosity in his personal life. His inventive talents could be seen in a wide variety of pursuits. Over the years, he enjoyed restoring old and exotic cars. More recently, he designed and built a large salt-water fish tank. Other diverse interests included gardening, guitars, kite and model car building. He recently celebrated his twentieth anniversary with his beloved wife, Cindy. He will be missed by many who knew him. Michael was preceded in death by his mother Stella; and brother Kenny. He is survived by his father William; sister Sandra Cruz; brother William Sheriff, Jr. ; wife Cindy; son Robert Sheriff; daughters Malin Maurice, Michele Sheriff, Christine Nordberg, Carissa Carlley and 12 grandchildren: Kaid, Ashlyn, Brandon, Brenna, Bryson, Noah, Caden, Seth, Ava, Catrina, Kamryn and Rilynn.
