Michael "Mike" Ray Westover

Michael “Mike” Ray Westover, age 53, of Fairview, Texas, passed away February 12, 2008, in Irving, Texas. He was born May 22, 1954, in Springfield, Oregon, the son of Edwin Loren and Beatrice (Petersen) Westover. Mike was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Melissa Ward, and served a two year mission in Argentina. He resided in Springfield, Oregon, 1954 to 1984 when he moved with his family to Mesa, Arizona. He married Donna Marie Helwig on July 1, 2006 in Mesa, Arizona. He was a Director of Construction and enjoyed the game of golf. What Mike truly loved most was serving his family. He was the perfect Sweetheart, Father, Papa and Brother. He was indeed a man of integrity. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Patrick Westover and his wife Becky of Queen Creek, AZ and Sean Westover of Mesa, AZ; daughters, Elizabeth and Molly Westover, both of Chandler, AZ; step-children, Ricci Quill and her husband Ryan of Ft. Worth, Nick Lehr and his fiancé Kendra of Livermore, CA and Torrey Dimas and her husband Joel of Fairview, TX; grandchildren, Garrett, McKenzie, Aleksia, Nelson, Abigail and Noah; mother, Beatrice Westover of Springfield, OR; brothers, Rawlin Westover and his wife, Becky of Springfield, OR and Mel Westover and his wife, Carol of Fresno, CA; and sister Joyce Alley and her husband Ron of Springfield, OR. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Loren Westover; brothers, Curtis and Donald Westover and half-sister Patricia Gagn’e. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 18, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1324 W. Exchange, Allen, TX 75013 with Bishop Michael Fry officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, TX on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment and graveside services will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Eugene, Oregon, Saturday, February 23, 2008, 2:00 PM, with President Corwin Lewis officiating.
