Michael "Mike" Joseph Kereluk

Michael Joseph Kereluk passed away surrounded by family on March 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Kereluk and his mother, Olga Wihak Kereluk.

Mike was born on December 27, 1942 in the Elmwood Park, Illinois a suburb of Chicago, the family eventually moved to California where he grew up in Culver City. He graduated from the University of Southern California and Texas A & M University, being a lifelong Trojan and Aggie.

Mike's career was spent in Petroleum and Environmental Engineering employed by the Atlantic Richfield Company until his retirement. He was a dedicated family man, train lover, music fan and a world traveler.

Mike was very proud of his Ukrainian ancestry and culture.  He was a tireless family historian creating an invaluable family tree.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Shonnie, sister Joanne K. Curry and husband Jim, nephew Casey Curry, niece Christine Coates and husband Jason. Three sons, Andrew Kereluk, and wife Jerleene,     Hoot Baez and wife Linda, Matt Baez and wife Elaine. Daughter, Marybeth K. Butler and  husband Andrew. Mike leaves behind five beloved grandchildren, Logan Butler, Ryan Kereluk, Graham Butler, Sasha Kereluk and Dexter Baez and a myriad of cousins, extended family and friends.

A Family Patriarch, devoted Husband, Brother, Father, and Grandfather who will be missed beyond measure. “Vichnaya Pamyat”

A funeral will be held for the celebration of his life at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. An entombment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
