Michael Philip Mariano of Plano, Texas passed away November 22, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born April 10, 1948 to George Mariano and Adeline (Sinni) Mariano. Michael met and married the love of his life, Angie Arrese, while teaching together in Brooklyn, New York. In 1995 they moved to Plano, Texas to raise their son, Christopher. Michael was a beloved and respected teacher at Plano East Senior High School, Collin College, and Karen Dillard’s College Prep. He was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish where he served as an usher.
Michael is survived by his son, Christopher Mariano of Plano, Texas; sisters, Madeline Grosso of Bellport, New York and Georgeanne Blake and husband Joseph of Manhasset, New York; and mother-in-law Amparo Arrese of Plano, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Mariano and parents, George and Adeline Mariano.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2700 W Spring Creek Pkwy Plano, TX 75023. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
