Michael Joe Gathright, age 64 of Princeton, Texas passed away December 25, 2014 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born May 31, 1950 in Nashville, Arkansas to William Coy and Mary Dell (Burkhart) Gathright. Mike loved fishing, riding his motorcycle and working in the construction industry. He loved to help his friends and family. Mike loved his dog Mighty Dog, which he had for fifteen years.
He is survived by his son, Brice Gathright of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Brandy Decker and husband Brent of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Gathright of Addison, Texas and Kyle Gathright of Florida; great-grandchild, Elle Grace; brother, Marvin Gathright and wife Virginia of Princeton, Texas.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Mary Gathright.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
