Melba L. Stone, age 80, of Princeton, Texas, passed away January 30, 2008 at her home. She was born November 24, 1927, in Winnsboro, Texas, the daughter of Joel Ernest and Bertie (Bell) Wilks. Melba was a homemaker and member of Faith Baptist Church of Princeton. She is survived by her daughters, Shella Rimpel and her husband Sam of Princeton and Anita Carolyn Meador and her husband Darrell of Tennessee; sons, Mike Stone and his wife Helen of Kilgore, TX, Allen Stone and his wife Sheron of Sulphur Springs and Tony Stone and his wife Vanessa of Winnsboro; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and sister, Bessie Farr of California. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Faith Baptist Church in Princeton with Rev. Stan Fike officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro, Texas. Pallbearers will be Mike Rimpel, Tracy Rimpel, Scott Stone, Joey Dorner, Steve Hanson, and Donnie South. Honorary pallbearer will be Bryan Meador. The family will receive friends during a visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
