Mavis Agnes Mayner, age 95, of Richardson, Texas passed away September 26, 2009. She was born July 10, 1914 in Rockwall, Texas to Robert Louis Barnes, Jr. and Myrtle Emma (Fondren) Barnes. On September 16, 1939 she married Johnnie Daniel Mayner in McKinney, Texas. Mavis graduated from Rockwall High School and was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by his son, John R. Mayner of North Glenn, Colorado; daughter, Janice Elaine Ellis of Frisco, Texas; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Ina Lou Macomb of Ft. Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Daniel Mayner in 1985; two sisters and four brothers. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Pecan Grove Cemetery, McKinney, Texas. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
